My first efforts and training in art were in wood carving and caricature 25 years ago. I love to tell a story with my art work. As with many wood carvers I took up sculpture to improve my carving and never went back. My focus was the human head. In 2011 I switched to two dimensional art and trained with Courtney Armstrong, Slawa Radziszewska, Margaretta Gilboy, Marcia Brill, Tom Mazzullo and others. I work primarily in oil paint and enjoy portraiture, landscape, and pen and ink drawing. My greatest honor has been to have two paintings hanging in the offices of Colorado Senator Gardner in Washington DC since autumn of 2015.
