Important Reminders

Remember to enter Mountainside Miniatures!

The 10th Annual "Mountainside Miniatures" Exhibit and Sale is sponsored by MAG and will be held at Foothills Art Center, 809 15th St. in Golden, from September 2 through November 21. Registration deadline is July 25.

The miniatures receive good exposure during the sh ow's run. For much of the time, the prestigious Rocky Mountain National Watermedia Show is next door, and during the last few weeks Foothills Art Center's well-attended Holiday Art Mart is there.

This popular juried national show has become our main fundraiser. As a result, we need volunteer sitters for weekends beginning September 6 and ending November 16. It involves only a few hours, is easy to do, and gives you a good chance to see the show at your leisure. There are 3 different sitting sessions to choose from: Saturday mornings or afternoons, or Sunday afternoons. If you are able to help for one (or more) sessions, please call Carolyn (303-973-2679) to sign up.

Ryan Matthews

Ryan Mathews is currently a junior year student in Art Education at Rocky Mountain College of Art & Design. 2014-2015 Artist in Residency. She is currently a major contributor to the momentum of 40 West Arts as their current artist in residence. Her residency has included many fun programs including the creation of the Hub Cap show in this past June. As an active member in the community, Mathews will continue her efforts to use art and education as a means of repairing the community and using relational aesthetics and social justice as the foundation for her conceptual realism artwork.
